Am I or Am I Not a Hipster?

Evidence that I am a hipster:

• I’m blogging about possibly being a hipster
• I own several plaid/flannel shirts
• I have drawn a mustache on my finger
• I frequently drink PBR
• I don’t usually smoke, but if I do it’s American Spirits
• I eat a lot of pho, constantly grill people about where they get their pho and then immediately state my pho place is the best
• I listen to and like a lot of bands most of my friends have never heard of
• I own a pair of beat up pink chucks that I’ve designated my concert shoes. I’m emotionally attached to them and will probably never throw them away despite how unhygienic they are

Evidence that I am not a hipster:

• The fact that I’m pondering this question instead of immediately shouting, “I am NOT a hipster!”
• I do not own a bike
• I don’t wear those black, thick-rimmed, non-prescription glasses
• I don’t grocery shop at a co-op or Whole Foods
• I prefer main stream coffee shops
• I don’t own vinyl’s or a record player
• I usually don’t hear of things until after they’ve become cool
• I’ve never shopped at Good Will in my life

Based on the evidence presented above, I don’t think I’m a hipster. I lack the fundamental lifestyle choices. But I do have hipster qualities…So final verdict: Not a hipster but with hipster tendencies.
